Vuomet Ltd.

The history of Vuomet Inc. goes back to 1990´s when the company founder Reijo Vuoksenranta started his career in road maintenance. He bought his first tractor and started to get contracts for winter maintenance on country roads. He couldn´t find a suitable snowplough in the market so he decided to make one himself. It wasn´t long before other contractors near and far started to buy his ploughs and the story of VUOMET® -ploughs had began.

The first industrial hall was build in 1998 in the middle of a peacefull countryside landscape in Petäjävesi in Central Finland. The company premises have been expanded in 2004 and 2020 and partly rebuilt after a severe fire in 2011. Today company operates in production premises of 3000 m². Up-to-date machinery and devices enable efficient and modern equipment manufacturing. In year 2025 Vuomet Inc. makes the largest equipment investments in it´s history with a new robot station.  

Vuomet Inc. was founded in 2000 and started out as a subcontracting engineering workshop. Alongside customer work we also manufactured our own products, particularly snow plows that CEO Reijo Vuoksenranta had designed. Today, the road maintenance equipment of our VUOMET® brand are the main product of our company and they have established their position in the professional markets. In addition to our own production, we are also continuing the subcontracting of various kinds of metal and steel structures. Nowadays we also manufacture road maintenance equipment for other marks.

Reijo Vuoksenranta´s work in road maintenance contract work has lasted for 30 years and still goes on. Thanks to these years and countless kilometers on the road, we know what kind of devices and characteristics you need. We also take our customers’ user experiences actively into account when developing our products. Our own innovative design, product development and top-level expertise in production ensure a technological lead and a high-quality product which is worth its price – and even more.

We are known as a reliable supplier and trading partner. We make all VUOMET equipment like we’d make it for ourselves.
